Reformer

This popular type of dynamic Pilates training has the ability to challenge the most athletic and fit while providing a sophisticated yet appropriate set of exercises to anyone in need of rehabilitation after surgery, illness or injury. Some people prefer Reformer Pilates to Matwork because of how easily the mind and body connect to the exercises through the use of the resistant ropes and varying spring tensions. It may remind you of a whole set of resistance machines you’ll find at the gym, but in one sleek piece of equipment.

The Reformer is incredibly versatile where potentially hundreds of exercises can be performed lying down, sitting, kneeling, standing, and even upside down, so you’ll never get bored. There are also a few ‘add-on’ pieces of equipment including the Cardio-Tramp: a vertical trampoline that adds more challenge and even more fun!

If you have never been taught to use a Stott Pilates Reformer before you will need a private 1:1 orientation session first. Classes are limited to no more than 5 people (on 5 Reformers) so that the teacher can ensure everyone is working safely and correctly.
