Post-Natal – Mum & Baby


This specialist small group class is for mums with babies that aren’t yet on the move. If all is well you may be ready to join this class as early as 4 weeks after a natural birth. However, you will need the ‘all clear’ from your doctor or physiotherapist at your 6 week check if you are experiencing any post-natal problems or if delivery was by C-section.

This low-impact class involves exercises lying down, sitting and standing on the mat. There is a focus on breath-work and the recruitment of the pelvic floor muscles; both of which are key elements to deep-abdominal or ‘core’ activation. All over muscle tone and improved mobility will support the mind and body for improved confidence and general well-being.

Classes are limited to no more than 8 women so that the teacher can ensure everyone is working safely and correctly. Your baby is welcome with you too and previous Pilates experience is not needed.
