Forever Young
This specialist small Reformer class suits the ‘more mature’ person who is reasonably fit and well, has perhaps already done some Matwork Pilates, and is now looking for a fuller workout but at a slow and controlled pace. The class is designed to keep your joints healthy while fighting off or helping to improve the symptoms of conditions such as osteoporosis, arthritis, general joint/back stiffness and pain.
The benefits of regular Pilates include improved posture, spinal health, strength, flexibility, coordination and balance. Some people prefer Reformer Pilates to Matwork because of how easily the mind and body connect to the exercises through the use of the resistant ropes and varying spring tensions. The Reformer is incredibly versatile where potentially hundreds of exercises can be performed lying down, sitting and standing so you’ll never get bored.
Classes are limited to no more than 5 people (to 5 Reformers) so that the teacher can ensure everyone is working safely and correctly.
